Dogs for social media marketing photos in Albuquerque New Mexico

Returning client Miguel of El Paisano Supermarket whom I have done several food photography shoots for in the past, had a very different photo shoot idea in mind this time. He wanted social media marketing photos of his French Bulldogs made on a colorful orange background. You do not need to do much besides feature a tiny French Bulldog puppy to make an attention grabbing social media photo, but putting her in a dog “Dogs Rulle” dog food bowl and then having the other two dogs pose with books and glasses for props while wearing sweaters, and now Miguel has a lot of high impact photo content to use on social media. Thank you Miguel for continuing to choose me as your photographer!

Monster Jam Albuquerque New Mexico November 2021

Monster Jam ABQ 2021 big trucks in small venue

Jessica really likes monster trucks, in particular Grave Digger, and that means whenever Monster Jam comes to town, we go. This time I brought my telephoto lens with me to capture some of the big tire, big air action! They mixed up the event format for the better in my view, getting rid of the ATV race with a motorcycle stunt jumping demonstration. It was my first time seeing that kind of thing in person and those pro riders make soaring through the air for 5 seconds look so easy! Due to the very small size of the venue here in Albuquerque, it is far from the most impressive Monster Jam freestyle competition, but Grave Digger did pull off an impressive nollie (see above) and that really got the crowd electrified.

Rolex Watch Professional Product Photography in Albuquerque for Crown Jewelry

Getting creative photographing Rolex watches!

It was great working with new client Crown Jewels and Coin here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, making a series of photos of Rolex watches that will be featured in their new television commercial! Using a reflective acrylic product background for these shots, and my Sony 90mm f/2.8 macro lens, we put the watches in various positions and I even suggested having a hand model type shot. This was easily my most valuable product photography shoot to date!

High impact lawyer headshots in Albuquerque going on a billboard

More and more lawyers and attorneys in Albuquerque are choosing Jason Collin Photography for headshots because I welcome creative input from the clients, and create headshots that match their vision, and when needed or wanted, I offer my own creative ideas to help make high impact headshots. Such was the case with lawyer Blake Dugger who visited the JCP Home Studio wanting a black background and lighting that was dramatic. So in addition to my usual beauty dish style lighting, I also used butterfly lighting and for the last shot, a single light to have more shadow in the headshot for maximum dramatic visual appeal. Thank you Blake for your ideas and being so great in front of the camera and look for these images on a billboard in New Mexico soon!

Luxury Real Estate Photography and Drone Video for La Luz Trail Albuquerque New Mexico

Luxury Real Estate Photography on a tight deadline in Albuquerque

This was my first time to work with Nick Caffey of Cottonwood Realty who called me with a short notice request to photograph a luxury real estate listing on La Luz Trail NE right in the very foot of the Sandia Mountains (check out the actual property listing if you are interested). He told me it was going to be a $1.5 million dollar listing, and that he needed it photographed within 3 days! I had a very tight schedule, and was not even in Albuquerque at the time of his text, and was leaving Albuquerque yet again for more out of town photo work 3 days after I got back. However, I was able to make time and get all the photography and drone content done for Nick in time for his listing date (save for twilight shots due to weather). The owners of the house helped make this possible too by having the house ready and looked like it was staged professionally. Thank you Nick for choosing me as your luxury home real estate photographer! I hope this listing sells quickly and I look forward to the next luxury property shoot with you.

High impact actor portfolio headshots in Albuquerque

George visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a definite vision for the actor headshots he wanted. He had been growing out his beard, brought props, and was ready to go for his western cowboy themed actor headshot photo session. We settled on a gray background as the most complimentary for the photos, I put on the camera my brand new Sony 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens, and then George did the rest. Through several wardrobe changes, a couple of lighting changes, and even getting a saddle into the action, we had a very creative headshot session and George now has the photos he needs to land western and cowboy roles. Thank you George for choosing me as your headshot photographer for such a fun, and creative photoshoot!

Very Large Array in heavenly skies New Mexico True Photography

Very Large Array in heavenly skies New Mexico True Photography

Not quite as large as I imagined the Very Large Array to be

The Very Large Array was one site I had not been able to get to before in my 4.5 years traveling all over New Mexico for my photography work and on drives with the BMW Club. Well, the latter finally brought me to the Very Large Array Rest Site where I was able to actually see the array in action. While standing there, the huge dishes all started rotating in unison. However, they were not as big as I imagined them to be, nor was there any one central giant mothership type dish. Still, it was very cool to finally see the array and for once, the clouds were amazing when I visit one of these New Mexico True sites.
