Colorful sleeping bags for product photography in Albuquerque
Tavis of Morrison Outdoors is one of my most long time clients since I moved the photo business to Albuquerque 6 years ago. He keeps coming up with new fantastic sleeping bags, which means I get more products to photograph here at the JCP Home Studio. This time it was 8 colorful sleeping bags for kids. What is unique about these sleeping bags, as you can see, is they are person shaped with arms and fold over cuffs. He has come out with adult sizes too (photos coming soon) so if you like the thought of being in a non-tubuler sleeping bag, the whole family can have matching sleeping bags! Thank you to Tavis for continuing to choose me as your product photographer!
Professional Bottle Product Photography available in Albuquerque
I often learn new things about photography because of getting certain photo jobs. Such was the case with this shoot for Chuck, founder / inventor of Keto Cola. I had never photographed bottles before so it was an adapting, adjusting, and refining process to make these cola bottle photos. Once I got the setup fine tuned for the result Chuck liked, it was then a one right after the other process that I could consistently repeat. I got to use my Light Cone from V-Flat World and my new continuous LED lights. This combo, along with shooting tethered with live view allowed me to show Chuck what the final photo would look like without even pushing the shutter. The glowing yellow photo you see above is a composite image I made using three different bottle photos.
I was contacted by someone with a couple dozen high end watches, including Rolex, to be photographed for listing for sale online. Without an exact idea for number of photos per watch, the posing of each watch, I agreed to have the new client come in with one example watch to see what he wanted, so that when he brings all 25, we have an established style and look to then photograph each watch efficiently. We learned a lot in many aspects about what each of us needed to do for the final shoot. I still find it hard to believe that the watch you see above is worth $70,000! I look forward to the full shoot of all these shockingly valuable watches in the near future.
Beanie hats and t-shirt product photography with consistent results over years
Longtime client Tavis of Morrison Outdoors has new adult-sized beanie hats and a t-shirt that he sent to me to be photographed for sale on his website (check it out!). I have done many shoots like this for Tavis before, for example these other beanies and his most famous product, the all in one sleeping bag for kids. Even though there are in some cases years between shoots for Tavis, I produce the same consistent look for the beanies, t-shirts, and sleeping bags. Thank you Tavis for continuing to choose me as your product photographer even though you are now on the other side of the country!
Accurate color with no glare for product photography in Albuquerque
The variety of products I have photographed this year at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico continues to grow with the addition of these religious icons made at a nearby monastery in the east mountains. Father Seraphim along with the actual artist from the monastery who painted the icons, assisted in the shoot (see the BTS below). I was shooting tethered so they could see the photos live as they took them to make sure there was no glare and that the colors were being represented accurately. Other than needing a bit of contrast adjustment, the results made right in camera were very accurate to the icons themselves. As usual, it was a great team effort on this product photography photo shoot and once we got things dialed in, in less than an hour I photographed more than 18 icons. Thank you Father Seraphim for choosing me as your photographer!
Creative Tea Pot Product Photography in Albuquerque
This is part two of the product photography I made for Alicia of Live Well Tea Company (see part 1). The main focus of the photo shoot was the canisters of tea themselves, to conclude the shoot we made a series of staged tea pot product photos right here in the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This was a fun and creative way to end the shoot, getting each set of tea pots staged to best show them off, from the linear shot above, to the multi-levels of the colorful tea pots below, concluding with lighting a clear glass tea pot set to not be too reflective, but also to be visible. Thank you again Alicia for a great collaboration on these tea pot product photos!
Fun and creative product shoot for tea in Albuquerque
My latest product shoot in the JCP Home Studio was with Alicia of Live Well Tea Company. She wanted her full product line of teas to be photographed in clear, clean, and also creative ways. Each collection of teas got a straight line shot, and a fun stacked shot too. Alicia was present for the entire shoot helping choose which order and placement for the teas for best color flow and visual appeal. I always welcome the client to be present for their product photo shoots, after all, they know their products best! Thank you Alicia for choosing me as your product photographer and for being so fun to work with during the shoot!
