More and more doctors in Albuquerque are choosing Jason Collin Photography for their headshots. Dr. Alexander visited the JCP Home Studio wanting a nice, clean, modern headshot. By profession he is a lawyer and wanted headshots for that, but in his other life, he is also an actor! So he started out in a nice suite like you’d expect to see a lawyer in, before changing up to a blue pullover for more casual actor headshots. I would say this is a first for me, but I’ve actually done one of these shoots a few years ago for a person that was both a lawyer and actor! Shooting for Tavis has over the years helped me improve my product photography skills from both a technical standpoint and an efficiency of shooting standpoint. My goal is always to deliver better and better images for clients, and to always top the previous shoot I did. This is definitely the case with products for Morrison Outdoors, although these kids t-shirts were a nice and easy shoot, relatively. Such was the case with meeting B.W. in the now The Clyde Hotel (formerly the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque) in downtown Albuquerque for an extended series of personal branding photos. Using different lobbies, hallways, and seating areas, I was able to make B.W. a wide variety of shots in just about a one hour shoot, not taking up too much of his valuable time as a lawyer. Great job in front of the camera B.W. and thank you for choosing me as your personal branding photographer!

Read MoreAfter making a couple dozen photos of their THC products on a white background (see photos) here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this new client wanted to try out a black background. At the time I only had a 1’ x 1’ black background, but I went to Port Plastics (highly recommended) in ABQ to have a 28” x 36” reflective black acrylic piece made that was big enough to get the shots the client wanted. Finding a way to get the results clients want, even if it requires custom studio pieces, is one of the benefits of choosing Jason Collin Photography! It was great working with Chazz again on these shots and I think the black background compliments the products very well. Thank you Chazz and the team for continuing to choose me as your product photographer!

I was a familiar with this location and its upstairs open air semi-covered space. Since his company is about making money from watching ads, he brought a cash prop for one of the photos.
