Branding Photography shoot in Pacific Grove SoundWorks recording studio with returning DJ client Jason Kushy
I am so grateful that as local DJ and music creator Jason Kushy has more and more success with the new EDM tracks he releases, he continues to choose me as his personal branding photographer. Our first shoot was just back in June, in my just opened photo studio in Pacific Grove, then our second shoot was out on the streets of Pacific Grove in September. Now the third shoot was in a Pacific Grove SoundWorks, a local recording studio. I had met the owner, Jermaine, of the recording studio shortly after he had opened it up about a year ago. He remembered me and was fantastic to work with helping both Jason and I in getting the most creative photos we could at the sound board in his studio. This was a true team effort with open sharing of ideas and resulting in another series of branding photos Jason will use on his Spotify channel and with the record label he newly signed with too! Photographing Oil Paintings at Client’s Pacific Grove Studio
Marlene contacted me about becoming the new photographer for her artwork (oil paintings) as her previous photographer had retired. We decided that I would come to her artist studio to photograph her paintings there, as she had a secure wall mount already, and she had 9 rather large paintings, so it would be easier than her bring all of them to my photo studio. This worked out great as her studio turned to be a very comfortable environment to photograph her paintings with good available natural light and space for me to shoot tethered to my laptop so Marlene could then in real time proof the photos of her paintings to make sure the color was accurate as well as the exposure of the photo too. I also got to pet her very friendly dog, Pearl too! It was great talking with and working with Marlene during the shoot. It was one of those photo shoots that makes me feel so good about being a photographer. Thank you Marlene for choosing me as the new photographer for your beautiful and creative paintings!
DJ Jason Kushy gets signed to a label returns for a second personal branding photo shoot in Pacific Grove California
Even before my photo studio here in Pacific Grove, California was even close to fully setup, local DJ and producer Jason Kushy contacted me about a branding photo shoot to help him launch his first tracks on Spotify and other music streaming platforms. It was a great shoot in studio and out on location. Since that time he has grown greatly in popularity and been able to sign with a label! So he wanted another branding photo shoot to have images to share with the label and this new, exciting phase in his music career. This time the shoot was entirely out on location in downtown Pacific Grove using a couple of spots I had scouted before, and then also improvising with a few more. The result in just an hour shoot was a fantastic variety of backgrounds, styles, and vibes for the photos we made. Big thanks to Felix for assisting with this shoot allowing me to focus on getting as many creative looks for Jason as I could. And of course, a very big thank you to Jason for continuing to choose me as his photographer as his music journey takes off!
Branding Photography for Amara Spa in Pacific Grove California
Nick and Jen of Amara by the Seas Boutique Spa reached out to me via the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce member directory about a commercial photography shoot for making branding and marketing photos of all of their many spa services, the products they have for sale, and the amenities in the spa like the two sauna for couples. I always highly recommend that businesses use photos showing their actual location, actual team members, and how their services actually look on their website and in their social media and marketing materials. I call this the “better than stock photography” impact. Nothing adds authenticity to your brand than real photos of your location and services.
Modern gray background for a modern headshot in Pacific Grove California
Mike visited my photo studio in Pacific Grove, California for headshots with only one request, a gray background. This gave me a chance to use for the first time the new “thunder gray” background I added to the studio recently. I am very pleased with how it looks in these headshots and is a new modern, option I can offer for headshot clients in the Monterey area as this dark gray look background has become an increasingly popular headshot trend. Headshots for 30 Berkeley Staff Members at Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove California
Some members of Berkeley were coming here to Pacific Grove for a conference at Asilomar Conference Grounds and wanted team headshots of everyone in attendance. This is something I specialize in, making efficient, creative, and consistent headshots for dozens of people while attending a conference. I bring my mobile studio setup for headshots so that everyone gets the same great headshot as if they were at my own photo studio in town. I even shoot tethered to my laptop so each person can proof in real time their headshot, and give the final seal of approval on it.
