New gray background whole staff headshots in ABQ times 2
Tell me te odds of this: just 4 days apart I have two headshot shoots in Albuquerque for entire office teams, that also want a team group shot, and are in the exact same office park! Such was the case in going to Keystone International to make headshots of Grace and Michelle who I first met when they presented at 1 Million Cups. They both also wanted to use my brand new Westcott X-drop gray background. How’s that for a coincidence? I really like when a business contacts me to make headshots of the entire staff because I believe strongly that consistent looking professional headshots on the website about page makes a very strong impact on clients & customers. This shows that everyone is on the same team, and an equally valued member of that team.
Product photography in Albuquerque good enough for REI
Returning client Tavis visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with two new sleeping bag products. He first visited in August of last year with sleeping bags for small kids, and now has some of his unique sleeping bags for bigger kids. He is continuing to expand the Morrison Outdoors line of products, and I am glad he continues to choose me as his product photographer. I used my own BTS shot from the first shoot to help me get setup faster for this second shoot with the added wrinkle that these sleeping bags were longer and I had to get up higher and shoot a little wider to fit them in frame. Thank you Tavis for continuing to choose me as your product photographer and to Jessica for assisting on this shoot!
Variety in creative food photography in Albuquerque
This is part two in a series of professional food photos I made for Luca Italian Bistro in Albuquerque, New Mexico (see part 1). The variety of dishes presented to me allowed me to make a variety of different food photographs, from feature shots, to hero shots, to macro detail shots. Using a very simple lighting setup of one light and a reflector still gave me the flexibility to take any kind of shot I wanted to all in a very small space, making minimum impact on the daily operation of the restaurant. This is the photography experience I deliver for clients, not just receiving the best commercial photos in Albuquerque, but also as a minimal impact during the photo shoot.
Drone Aerial Photos with impact for Rio Rancho Real Estate
Back out on another shoot for ABQHomes this time in Rio Rancho, I made drone aerial photos of this luxury home highlighting its amazing views of the Sandia Mountains. Drone real estate photography can uniquely show the setting of a home where photos from the ground just cannot. This makes a big impact on potential buyers to see the residential family home in context with its surrounding environment. This luxury home will stand out to buyers over other listings that do not have drone photos showing off the great mountain views. If you are a real estate agent in Rio Rancho and are not using aerial drone photography and video yet, contact me today to stay competitive with your competition that already is using drone imagery
Live Industrial Commercial Photography Challenge in Albuquerque
It is not often I have to start a photography shoot by signing a NDA, but such was the case for a commercial industrial shoot at BayoTech in Albuquerque, New Mexico. These are the only photos I am allowed to share publicly that do not reveal any of their proprietary technology. This shoot was very similar to one I did for Aristech in Belen, where I had to photograph people in an industrial setting working live in confined spaces in challenging lighting situations. Thanks to Ben for assisting on this shoot as otherwise it would have been impossible to get these photos. This was a very wide ranging shoot, from these industrial photos, to business headshots, to even drone aerial photos! I like diversity in the types of shoots I have each week, and in one afternoon I got to virtually run the full gamut!
After searching for headshot photographers in Albuquerque, Torry chose me to make his lawyer headshots based in part on my many 5-star Google Reviews. He has since left his own 5-star review of our headshot session! Thank you very much Torry! We shot on both white and black backgrounds and with several different lighting setups to create a wide variety of headshots in less than 30 minutes of shooting time. I really like it when clients say, “go ahead and try whatever you like” as it frees me to experiment and get even more creative, like in the headshot above on a black background using a two light and one reflector setup. Compare these headshots to any of the lawyer headshots you see on billboards around town! Use the links below to get the best lawyer headshots in Albuquerque.
Overcoming challenges as an Albuquerque drone pilot
This luxury real estate property in Sandia Crest, New Mexico, which is in the east mountains of the greater Albuquerque metro area, was a particular challenge to make both drone video and drone aerial photos of because of the tall trees surrounding the house on all sides. Add to that the very high winds (see trees bending in the video), the cold temperature, and the sun facing the property casting a drone shadow on any low shots, this all made for a drone flight that needed an experienced (and certified) drone pilot like myself to produce a video that was still cinematic and representative of what the property looks like. I wanted to highlight the mountains in multiple directions as the setting for the property, while getting what views of the actual house I could. Especially given the conditions, I am very glad with how the drone video came out!
