Albuquerque Real Estate Photography Graceland Acres Neighborhood

100 year old tree, fish pond, skylights!

Back out on a real estate photography assignment for Mark & Susan Ryerson in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who had another unique property for me. I really enjoyed shooting 374 Canon Madera Drive for them, an expansive luxury listing hidden in the east mountains. This property, 3009 Franciscan St NE, was closer to home though no usual Graceland Acres property. From the brick driveway, to 100 year old tree in the front yard tended to by someone from UNM no less, to the fish pond in the back, you can actually explore this city lot and find mystery. Inside the rooms feature multi-sided shapes, a walk right through from front door to back door flow, and a skylight filled master bath!

Cinematic Drone Video of New Mexico Skies in El Morro

El Morro by drone video and HDR

If you liked the black & white views of El Morro National Monument I showed you earlier this week, well, this land featured here is for sale and about a 15 minute drive to the monument. Plus, you get these sunset views and on special evenings like this one, a purple twilight sky too! Contact Hemingway Land to make this your home, or second home! I was having to will the clouds away all afternoon, and finally just before sunset a sliver of sky opened up just above the horizon allowing the sun to blaze through for me to get these sunset HDR photos. And to fly my Mavic Pro drone one more time producing one of the best into the sun shots I have made to date.

Poki Poki is just fun to say!

Back out on food photography assignments for UberEats in Albuquerque, New Mexico taking me to Poki Poki, an Asian-Latin fusion restaurant. You build your own bowl of food starting with a base and ending with toppings. This allows, as you can see above, for a wide variety of Poke Bowls you can create. My thanks to Julie for having everything ready and making this the absolute smoothest UberEats food shoot I have done so far!

Albuquerque Real Estate Agent Headshots

The Southwest Life Real Estate Group keeps adding new agents to its roster and long time client Deanna keeps sending them to the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for professional headshots, including a head-to-toe shot. Joyce is a new real estate agent, but a natural in front of the camera lens! All I had to do was get the lighting setup and she did the rest with a ready smile anytime I needed it and even a great pose for her head-to-toe headshot! Thank you Joyce and thank you Deanna for being such a wonderful client!

Leaves Changing in Tierra Amarilla New Mexico

Back out on assignment for Hemingway Land Company in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico near a small town called Tierra Amarilla, I was treated to the beginning of some fall foliage and distant snow capped mountain views. Rio Arriba County is my favorite in all of New Mexico for its majestic beauty ranging from mesas to lakes to mountains to forests. It was peaceful out here and the sweeping landscape was not a bad office for one late afternoon’s work! The only thing was the mud! See the photo at the bottom for what the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk looked like after just a brief drive in down the dirt/mud road!

Adding Lifestyle to Ceramics

This month makes one year I have been photographing the ceramic art of Noah Starer, a Santa Fe based artist. Typically I photograph his ceramic artwork on a paper background giving the illusion of a gray gradient, for example in these photo galleries. This time he asked me to come up with some lifestyle photos featuring his ceramics in them. The shot above represents that effort. The plate and vase holding the flower are his work. The Apple Watch, UE Megaboom bluetooth speaker, and post card are mine. The coffee cup is borrowed from Jessica and the table is thanks to her uncle who moved from Santa Fe recently and let me have it!

Sante Fe New Mexico Food Photography at the Sage Inn

A Social Restaurant in Santa Fe

Santa Fe Sage Inn contacted me about coming up to make some food photographs of new menu items for the grand opening of their social themed restaurant. It was a diverse shoot ranging from close up dessert shots, to from above “hero shots” of multiple food dishes, to stylized backlit drink shots. It was a fun challenge changing gears between the different setups required for each of those types of photographs. You can see that diversity in the gallery below. Thank you to Sonya for all your assistance during this shoot and when you are next in Santa Fe be sure and check out their social themed restaurant!
