Creative high desert rural land real estate photography in Socorro County New Mexico
To be a good rural land real estate photographer in New Mexico, one must be able to often make something out of nothing. Maybe there is a distant mountain or mesa, maybe there are good clouds, but the desert land itself, is often just dry grass and thorny bushes. I use these, for low angle shots and incorporate the dry grass into the foreground to make a more creative and eye catching photo of what otherwise would be just a flat, sparse landscape. Thankfully at this rural land photo shoot in Socorro County, New Mexico, the clouds were fantastic and the sunset pretty good to add some style to the photos.
Now over 130 team headshots made for Bohannan Huston in Albuquerque
There is no organization that I have made more headshots for than Bohannan Huston. A few years ago I made over 70 team headshots of their staff, and in a sign about how much they are growing, I recently went back to make 60+ more headshots! For maximum convenience I setup my mobile headshot studio right in their conference room for on location headshots, and every four minutes another headshot is made, taking up minimal time of the busy team members. Thank you so much Bohannan Huston for continuing to choose me as your headshot photographer over the years!
Ronald Angelo Johnson speaks passionately in Albuquerque Alpha Chi 2023
One of the things I like best about photographing national conferences, is getting to hear keynote speakers I otherwise never would. Such was the case with a very passionate keynote address by Ronald Angelo Johnson at the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society event in Albuquerque in March and April 2023. Mr. Johnson was an A+ speaker to photograph. Why? Because he was always looking up and out at the audience in all directions. He is an animated speaker with has hands and expressions. He moved around even out from behind the podium. Plus, even from these silent still photos, you can hear the inspiring story he shared with the audience. It was a privilege to get to hear him speak that morning at the conference.
Model Portfolio shoot in Albuquerque with a professional MUA
Leanna wanted a model portfolio photo shoot here in Albuquerque with a professional MUA present for the shoot. Well, this year I have formally partnered with Samanthia to work as a MUA and hair stylist for shoots right here in the JCP Home Studio. We made a wide variety of photos for Leanna from head to toe to headshot. In between shots Samanthia made sure Leanna’s hair was in place looking its best. That is the benefits of having a MUA for your model portfolio shoot. Thank you Leanna for choosing me as your photographer and to Samanthia for her great MUA work throughout the shoot!
High Impact THC Product Photography on reflective black background in ABQ
After making a couple dozen photos of their THC products on a white background (see photos) here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this new client wanted to try out a black background. At the time I only had a 1’ x 1’ black background, but I went to Port Plastics (highly recommended) in ABQ to have a 28” x 36” reflective black acrylic piece made that was big enough to get the shots the client wanted. Finding a way to get the results clients want, even if it requires custom studio pieces, is one of the benefits of choosing Jason Collin Photography! It was great working with Chazz again on these shots and I think the black background compliments the products very well. Thank you Chazz and the team for continuing to choose me as your product photographer!
Showing money earring in personal branding photos in Albuquerque
As part of the Founders Series of personal branding photo shoots I did last year for CNM, I met Adam of Adwallet at Tincan Alley per his request to shoot there. I was a familiar with this location and its upstairs open air semi-covered space. Since his company is about making money from watching ads, he brought a cash prop for one of the photos. Thank you Adam for a fun shoot!
Adding handheld “from the ground” video services in Albuquerque
I am always looking to improve and increase the imaging services I can offer clients here in Albuquerque, New Mexico and now I am pleased to offer “handheld video” in addition to the drone aerial video I have been offering for years. You may recall the drone video shoot I did for County Line Restaurant last summer (check it out here). At the time I did not have the gear nor the skills to make video inside the restaurant for the client. I kept it in mind though and when DJI released the new RS 3 Mini gimbal, I decided this is my time to start to offer branding video from the ground. Thank you to the team at County Line for this opportunity and doing a great job getting the restaurant prepped!
