Professional Product Photography for Colorful Sleeping Bags in Albuquerque with Tavis

Colorful sleeping bags for product photography in Albuquerque

Tavis of Morrison Outdoors is one of my most long time clients since I moved the photo business to Albuquerque 6 years ago. He keeps coming up with new fantastic sleeping bags, which means I get more products to photograph here at the JCP Home Studio. This time it was 8 colorful sleeping bags for kids. What is unique about these sleeping bags, as you can see, is they are person shaped with arms and fold over cuffs. He has come out with adult sizes too (photos coming soon) so if you like the thought of being in a non-tubuler sleeping bag, the whole family can have matching sleeping bags! Thank you to Tavis for continuing to choose me as your product photographer!

The best team headshots for lawyers in Albuquerque with Vrapi Weeks

The best team headshots for lawyers in Albuquerque with Vrapi Weeks

Team headshots for lawyers in Albuquerque for the past 3+ years

Long time law firm client, Vrapi Weeks, has had a steady stream of new lawyer hires, and one partner wanted an update to her headshot I made for her a few weeks ago, so even shot individually, I am able to make team headshots for them! I have now made headshots for Vrapi Weeks going on three years, with a consistent style so each new team member’s headshot looks like the first one I made several years ago. I think it is fantastic that as soon as a new team member joins the firm, I get a call to schedule that person’s headshot, so their headshot looks just like all the others! Thank you to Amber and the rest of the team at Vrapi Weeks for continuing to choose me as your headshot photographer!

Professional Bottle Product Photography in Albuquerque for Keto Cola

Professional Bottle Product Photography in Albuquerque for Keto Cola

Professional Bottle Product Photography available in Albuquerque

I often learn new things about photography because of getting certain photo jobs. Such was the case with this shoot for Chuck, founder / inventor of Keto Cola. I had never photographed bottles before so it was an adapting, adjusting, and refining process to make these cola bottle photos. Once I got the setup fine tuned for the result Chuck liked, it was then a one right after the other process that I could consistently repeat. I got to use my Light Cone from V-Flat World and my new continuous LED lights. This combo, along with shooting tethered with live view allowed me to show Chuck what the final photo would look like without even pushing the shutter. The glowing yellow photo you see above is a composite image I made using three different bottle photos.

Thank you personal branding portraits for Rochelle in Albuquerque

Thank you portrait session for a valued client

I first met Rochelle when she came to the JCP Home Studio for a new headshot back in 2020. Since then she has given me several great referrals for large photo jobs, including being the event photographer for the Society of Women Engineers. I really appreciate client referrals, so I invited Rochelle back to the studio for a thank you portrait photo session. It was nice to see Rochelle again and make some fun portraits. Thank you Rochelle for the referrals! I really appreciate them.

Flexibility in Making Commercial Portraits at New Mexico Cancer Center

Often times I do not know exactly what a shoot will be, even given a fairly significant shot list and description of what the client wants from the shoot. The reality on the day of in the actual location means adjusting and still getting results. Plus, I had never been in a cancer hospital before and did not know what the environments would be like. Still, in over a half dozen setups, I made commercial portraits for the client showing the entire range of the team of medical professionals there, plus some patients who consented to being in photos too! Most of the shots ended up being only two people in them, given the constraints of the spaces and the availability of staff. I even photographed a doctor again I had just weeks before photographed at an oncology conference! I enjoyed the challenge and creativity of making these commercial portraits at New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Personal Branding Photography for Art Gallery Owners in Santa Fe with Steve

Personal Branding Photography for Art Gallery Owners in Santa Fe with Steve

Incredible art makes for being incredibly careful when making personal branding photos in Santa Fe

Making personal branding photos and interior photos in a fine art gallery is very cool, but also very nerve wracking as close to six figure priced sculptures sit upon, to me, very small pedestals! So when you have a 42” diameter round soft box you are moving around to photograph gallery owner Steve, it’s time to be extra, extra careful! However, as you can see, inside and out, Globe Fine Art Gallery is a bold visual statement. Steve had ideas for which artwork pieces to use in his personal branding photos, and then the Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM lens did the rest! I really like shooting in an art gallery like this for unique backgrounds. Thank you Steve for being so great in front of the camera and helpful during the shoot!

Professional Commercial Apartment Community Photography in Albuquerque featuring Stride West

Professional Commercial Apartment Community Photography in Albuquerque featuring Stride West

The peacefulness in photographing an apartment community in Albuquerque

I actually find photographing an apartment community one of the most relaxing types of photography I do. Why is that? Because most of the time I am given access to a space, then left alone to make the photos I need. Such was the case when I photographed Stride West in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The leasing office area and lobby was largely empty when I was there, the gym totally empty, same for the pool, and of course the model unit was just me and the furniture. In this way I made my way around the apartment community grounds (with a lift from the staff on a golf cart) getting the 75 photos I needed to per client guidelines. I did start out getting aerial drone photos because the skies were pretty good, and it is my policy to get all exterior shots when I arrive because you never know when the weather will change. Sure enough, by the end of the shoot things would have been too cloudy. Thank you to the team at Stride West for getting everything prepped for the photo shoot.
