Going to 1 Million Cups each Wednesday morning here in Albuquerque, New Mexico provides me with many opportunities on a weekly basis. A recent one was meeting Athena Christodoulou who is running for Albuquerque City Council. She needed new headshots and I hold her I make the best headshots in the city and have photographed many politicians at all levels of government. We had a headshot shoot here at the JCP Home Studio, then I proceeded to run into her at several other events, like the 2019 AFRL Awards where her husband took home an award. Lightning in Commercial Hotel Photography Albuquerque
Almost one month to the day I returned to the San Mateo Inn for more commercial exterior photography, this time at night! My first shoot was all during the day with clear blue skies overhead. For this second shoot right after sunset, the clouds were rolling in and a storm was approaching. I was working as fast as I could with my new Sony a7R IV mirrorless camera. In fact this was the very first shoot I used it for! I could hear the thunder and see the lightning, and in a happy accident, during one long exposure photo of the front of the hotel, I caught a sharp bolt of lightning! I got the remaining photos I needed of the pool and front sign, and was back home safe and dry before the actual rain started. Thank you to the owner, Yvette, for braving the storm with me and watching my back as we were very close to the road to get some of these shots.

Elizabeth is a dentist here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but she visited the JCP Home Studio not just for headshots to make her look like a friendly dentist, but also for her acting career as well! We started out with getting the friendly dentist headshots, then moved on to getting a serious headshot for a dentist role. It was impressive watching Elizabeth change her expressions between shots! Then we moved on to headshots just for acting. Dental jacket off, hair down, but we progressed in a similar way getting some smiling and some serious actor headshots. As a top 3 rated commercial photographer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I am always looking for opportunities to help businesses and companies look as professional as they really are. Noble Law Firm gave me a big opportunity to change the way all three of their offices look to clients that search for them online by making professional interior and exterior photos of in this case, the Albuquerque office. I have previously shared the Las Cruces interior exterior photos, so you may notice some similar red accent wall design queues between the offices.
I continue to add to the number of politicians and candidates I have photographed in 2019, ranging from the U.S. Surgeon General to the Governor of New Mexico, to most recently Alexis Johnson running for U.S. Congress NM District 3 in Santa Fe. Alexis had a very busy schedule, but it worked out that right after I finished two drone flights already in Santa Fe, her schedule was open as well and we met outside on location and in less than 30 minutes made this headshot and portrait. I am accustomed to making photos in time constraints, and had my full studio headshot setup save for the background, as I just used an existing wall for that. Then it was a quick change of setup to go make a portrait with a greener background. It was a quick shoot, but we made the most of it for sure.

My main purpose for visiting the Las Cruces office of Noble Law Firm was to make headshots of the team there, which I have already shared, but I was also to make commercial interior and exterior photographs of the law office and the bank building the office is in. I chose to make all these shots HDR style. This was complete photography in all aspects for this law office, resulting in professional photographs of the staff, the office, and its location. Now prospective clients will know exactly what to expect when they visit the law office and who they will be meeting with. This is how professional photography provides a powerful resource for getting new clients and customers by making a professional visual impact from what is increasingly the first point of contact, an online search and website visit.
Another business here in Albuquerque, New Mexico knows the value of having uniform, professional business headshots for the entire team. WSP wanted me to get headshots of all the engineers that work in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office so that they all had a consistent look, but allowed for each person’s personality to still shine through.
