Incredible art makes for being incredibly careful when making personal branding photos in Santa Fe
Making personal branding photos and interior photos in a fine art gallery is very cool, but also very nerve wracking as close to six figure priced sculptures sit upon, to me, very small pedestals! So when you have a 42” diameter round soft box you are moving around to photograph gallery owner Steve, it’s time to be extra, extra careful! However, as you can see, inside and out, Globe Fine Art Gallery is a bold visual statement. Steve had ideas for which artwork pieces to use in his personal branding photos, and then the Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM lens did the rest! I really like shooting in an art gallery like this for unique backgrounds. Thank you Steve for being so great in front of the camera and helpful during the shoot!
The peacefulness in photographing an apartment community in Albuquerque
I actually find photographing an apartment community one of the most relaxing types of photography I do. Why is that? Because most of the time I am given access to a space, then left alone to make the photos I need. Such was the case when I photographed Stride West in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The leasing office area and lobby was largely empty when I was there, the gym totally empty, same for the pool, and of course the model unit was just me and the furniture. In this way I made my way around the apartment community grounds (with a lift from the staff on a golf cart) getting the 75 photos I needed to per client guidelines. I did start out getting aerial drone photos because the skies were pretty good, and it is my policy to get all exterior shots when I arrive because you never know when the weather will change. Sure enough, by the end of the shoot things would have been too cloudy. Thank you to the team at Stride West for getting everything prepped for the photo shoot.
Two times the team headshots in Los Alamos New Mexico
What happens if I have already made team headshots for your high tech business in Los Alamos, New Mexico and you get a lot more new team members? Well, I pack up my mobile studio setup and head back to Los Alamos for another team headshot session! I had a great time on my first visit to Pebble Labs making team headshots, action shots of the team in the lab, and a huge group shot in their greenhouse. This time it was just the headshots, which I was able to finish in time to beat the incoming snow storm and return to ABQ safely and get editing. Thank you to the team at Pebble Labs for continuing to choose me as your headshot photographer!
Cool headshots for tech professionals in Albuquerque
I always like the chance to make headshots that actually cause the client a little surprise when they see the results. Since I shoot tethered for headshots, that means that clients see their results instantly on a computer screen right in front of them. That was how Rolfe got to see the headshot above, which to the person in front of the camera, is impossible to guess what the result will be as if he turned around, the background would just look plain white, and he is standing in normal ambient room light. However, when all the expertly placed lights in the JCP Home Studio go off as I push the shutter, the result is what you see above. I am glad Rolfe liked the headshot as much as I did! This is how you go about making a stylish business headshot. Thank you Rolfe for choosing me as your Albuquerque headshot photographer!
Personal Branding Photography for a Santa Fe Interior Designer
Personal branding photography is becoming more and more important across all business fields, and certainly no less important for interior designers. I visited Jamie of J Stoilis Design up in Santa Fe to make personal branding photos of her, as well as interior / exterior photos of her studio. Photographing Jamie in her own work space, along with the space itself, allowed me to create photos for her that are authentic. Clients even before visiting Santa Fe will know what to expect of her studio space, as well as a peak into Jamie’s personality. Thank you Jamie for a great shoot!
Downtown ABQ as a unique personal branding photo shoot location
I met T.J. outside his office building in downtown Albuquerque for a thank you personal branding photo shoot for choosing me as the photographer for a big multi-week long project photographing business founders. Downtown ABQ is one of my favorite places to shoot on location in the city, especially standing out in the middle of the street and letting the bokeh take care of the background. This type of photo makes for a unique background that I could never replicate for anyone else, as the light, shadows, and even street lights are always changing. Thank you to T.J. and Jen for choosing me for such an interesting and creative photo project!
Personality Showcasing Actor Headshots in Albuquerque
More and more actors are choosing Jason Collin Photography for their headshots in Albuquerque. Erika visited the JCP Home Studio for a series of actor headshots showcasing her range of personality, including neutral, which her agent requested specifically! She had worked in the medical field and got burnt out and is now looking to try new things. The flexibility I offer in studio to change backgrounds, lighting, and by shooting tethered, allows clients like Erika to get a wide range of headshots often in just a 30 minute session. This was a really fun headshot session and Erika even played her own music to create the vibe for the shoot that resulted in these images. Thank you Erika for choosing me as your headshot photographer and for the 5-star review!
