On location and in studio for actor headshots in Albuquerque
It was great to see Kristina again for two more actor headshots shoots here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our first shoot was about 1.5 years ago in studio. This time we tried out on location where we stumbled upon a great brick wall background. For part two of the shoot she wanted to return to the studio and have her preferred black background for those headshots. Creative actress headshot photo session in ABQ with a makeup artist
Sheryl was first going to visit the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for an actor headshot session last fall, but she is a very busy person and often out of ABQ for months at a time. Finally everything aligned for her to get new actress headshots this week and also for Hillary to come over to be the makeup artist for the shoot, as Hillary was a past actor headshot client and was the person who referred Sheryl to me! It was a great headshot session and I really like the results we got showcasing Sheryl’s personality from serious to smiling. She had worked in the medical field and got burnt out and is now looking to try new things. The flexibility I offer in studio to change backgrounds, lighting, and by shooting tethered, allows clients like Erika to get a wide range of headshots often in just a 30 minute session. This was a really fun headshot session and Erika even played her own music to create the vibe for the shoot that resulted in these images. Carolynn was visiting Albuquerque from the midwest taking acting lessons here. She contacted me about making actor headshots for her during her visit and I am very glad that the timing worked out because I am thrilled with the results we were able to make in just a one hour headshot session. Shooting tethered allowed us to get the exact look in real time that Carolynn wanted for each wardrobe change. We also dialed in her own custom color background that make her headshots unique. It was great working in partnership with Carolynn on crafting these headshots getting every detail just right. Right from the moment Hillary walked into the JCP Home Studio here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I knew this was going to be a high energy and dynamic actor headshot photoshoot. More and more actors are choosing Jason Collin Photography for their headshots, and I really appreciate it! When someone has an outgoing personality like Hillary’s, I just get the lighting right, have my camera ready, and let them do their thing. That’s how in less than an hour photo session we were able to create so many different headshot looks, with wardrobe changes, some lighting changes, and some background color changes too.
