Car event photography at Porsche of Monterey for Car Week 2025
This was my second time attending the car event held by Porsche of Monterey. For me, it kicks off Monterey Car Week 2025. This is a very large car event featuring Porsches from all eras and all generations. The event spreads out all over the dealership covering the entire lot, the service bays, and even closing a part of one of the main streets in town. It is a great event if you want to learn about the history of Porsche cars, or just walk around in the late afternoon sunshine daydreaming about driving one of these sports cars on the open road. Another first for me was getting to see a PTS Carrera GT!
Celebrating a new wedding venue grand opening in Pacific Grove California
What a wedding mixer event put on by the teams at Weddings in the Round and the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce! Such a great turnout with wide variety of people from every part of our local Pacific Grove community coming together and creating a great vibe all evening. There is now another option for a wedding venue and event space right here in Pacific Grove, and it is round! I can tell you for sure that the Weddings in the Round staff are very, very friendly and will welcome you warmly for any event or wedding you book there. Thank you to Gretchen and Annee for choosing me as your event photographer!
Exciting event photography at Monterey Aquatic Therapy Center in Pacific Grove
There was a huge turnout for the ribbon cutting event at Monterey Aquatic Therapy Center in Pacific Grove, California. The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce is so good at hosting these events. To me, capturing a ribbon cutting photo that has a lot of expressive reactions is my goal, and that goal was certainly achieved this time! Trisha and her team are high energy and their enthusiasm for the work they do is palpable. I am very glad to share another great community business and event itself and hope you come to the next one in Pacific Grove.
CSUMB Event Photography when everyone meets for the first time!
It was not just me for the first time meeting all the MBA graduates at CSUMB in Monterey California as I went there for event photography of their graduation ceremony, it was all the graduates first time meeting each other too because it was an entirely online program! So there was the extra excitement of seeing each other in person for the first time, as well as receiving their degrees at this special awards ceremony just for their online MBA program. All that made it a very fun and lively event to photograph first getting some candids as they arrived, then the ceremony photos, and then some group photos with each class getting their chance to celebrate in a group portrait out on the front steps of the very cool looking building entryway at CSUMB. Thank you to the team at CSUMB for choosing me as the photographer for this exciting event!
The ribbon cutting events that the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce puts on feature all kinds of different businesses in town. This one I had walked by quite a bit in the past year, but never went inside until this ribbon cutting event. If you like antiques and nostalgia, then The Grove Emporium is a place to definitely check out.
Candid Event Photography for Ribbon Cuttings in Pacific Grove
This was a very high energy ribbon cutting because the owner of I heart You Candles, Sherry, is a very high energy and enthusiastic person! As an ambassador for the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce I regularly attend events like this and of course always bring my camera. This time I was also a customer purchasing a candle to bring home to my girlfriend. Thank you Sherry for your help in picking out the best candle and good luck with your new business here in Pacific Grove!
Amazing Harry Potter Themed Event Venue space in Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove
For the third of three nights (night one, night two) of event venue space photography for Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California I walked into a stunning room straight out of the world of Harry Potter, complete with “flying” candles! I had no idea what the theme was going to be for this night, so it was a total surprise to me, and a major challenge to photograph a space that pretty much required shutter speeds of 10 seconds or longer. For the above shot, with the help of the general manager, I got the entire staff to clear the room and was able to make a long exposure photo. Even though it might have made everyone a bit late setting up, I think it was worth it and the client loved it! Thank you to the team at Asilomar Conference Grounds for choosing me as your event venue photographer!
