Sunny Saturday for the 2025 Pacific Grove Butterfly Parade
This annual parade featuring mostly local school kids welcomes the visiting monarch butterflies to Pacific Grove who are on their own annual parade of sorts, or rather migration! The parade closed with some high school classes of 50+ years ago carrying their banners. I wonder if some of those class of 1975 and later people as kids walked in this same parade?

Parade right out my front door in Pacific Grove!
I cannot help but feel a part of the Pacific Grove Holiday Light Parade because the staging of it takes place right on my street right in front of my house! So all I have to do is walk out my front door to see the start of the parade action. I took my camera along the route entrance to get some unique views, as well as up top from a bird’s eye viewpoint.

Darth Vader and Rudolph in the same parade!
My second time photographing the annual Twinkle Light Parade in the Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Various types of vehicles adorned in a variety of twinkling Christmas lights slowly drive down Route 66 (aka Central Ave) to the delight of thousands of on-lookers. The usual favorites like Rudolph and The Grinch are always present, along with some twists like Mr. Potato Head and Darth Vader!

Saturday evening was the annual Twinkle Light Parade in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque. Since this is still my first year in ABQ, it was therefore my first time to check out the parade. It provided lot of great photography opportunities, while being a challenging low light shooting situation.
