Ladron Peak is 20 miles from anything in New Mexico desert
Driving further down dirt road than I nearly ever did before on a rural land shoot, I passed by Ladron Peak along the way to my actual destination. After nearly 20 miles on seldom traveled dirt road, I pulled over to send the drone up to capture views of Ladron Peak and the surrounding mesas. Even from the view of my DJI Mavic 3 Cine drone, I saw no one and nothing in this area. If you are looking for a remote mountain peak to hike, Ladron Peak is for you!
Team Headshots right in the conference room in less than 5 minutes
More and more businesses in Albuquerque are seeing the tremendous value in getting team headshots. I visited Centric Title & Escrow with my mobile studio kit that can be setup in nearly any conference room or lobby. Once setup, making a professional headshot for each team member typically takes less than 5 minutes of that person’s time. To help show that your team is really a team, by making consistent professional headshots for everyone, that’s all it typically takes, is less than 5 minutes of each person’s time. It was great working with the team at Centric Title and at the end even making an impromptu duo portrait showing the flexibility of my mobile headshot setup. Check out the BTS shots below to see the small space I was able to make these big impact headshots in! All it took was moving a few chair out of the way to create a photo studio right in their conference room complete with tethered shooting. Thank you to the team at Centric Title for doing so great in front of the camera and for choosing me as your headshot photographer!
Better than stock images for lawyers and attorneys in Albuquerque
New Mexico Legal Group invited me back to their offices here in Albuquerque, New Mexico this time to make some candids of the team for what I call better than stock photos. Why use strangers from stock images on your own website when you can show off your team in the actual office space your clients will be visiting and seeing? I think NMLG made a great choice to feature its own attorneys and staff in this series of photos to go along with the team headshots I made of everyone last year. Thank you to everyone at the team of NMLG for being great in front of the camera and for continuing to choose me as your photographer!
A Return to Candid Event Photography at UNM for CSA in 2022
Now that events are happening once more in Albuquerque after the pandemic put a long stop to them, it was great to return to UNM for the Computer Science Alliance Event and to work with Paige and Yolanda again. It was a long 3 years in between this recent event and the last one I photographed for them back in June of 2019. For this event, teachers in STEM come from around the state to learn and share teaching techniques. They sounded so interesting in fact, it almost made me miss being back in school! Almost. I would not pass up a chance to build a rocket one more time though! Thank you to Paige and Yolanda for continuing to choose me as the photographer for CSA and for putting on a great event at UNM.
Brian purchased a new camper van to use as an Airbnb rental for adventurous people in Albuquerque, New Mexico looking for a unique way of exploring and sleeping in the state. The best way to get the camper booked every weekend is to have professional photos made of it to feature on the camper’s Airbnb listing. Brian chose a site with mountains in the background and parked offroad to highlight the adventure aspect of choosing this camper van as an Airbnb. I photographed the camper from inside and out showing and highlighting all the key features that make this camper great. Thank you Brian for choosing me as your Airbnb marketing photographer!
Having recently graduated and wanting headshot portraits to celebrate the occasion, Maria visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her mom to have a variety of photos made, some with her master’s white collar on, some with different sashes, and some with cap on or off. It is a complicated process to have the cap just right, the sash just right, and especially that white master’s collar is particularly troublesome to get to stay in place! In the end, Maria chose 7 headshot portraits and I am very pleased with the results were were able to get. It was a true team effort with myself, Maria, and her mom all helping to get these photos! Thank you Maria for choosing me as your grad headshot portrait photographer!
Tarot Cards featured in creative product photography in Albuquerque
Product photography photo shoots are some of the most interesting types of photo shoots I do here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico because of the opportunity to be creative depending on the type of product. For this shoot, tarot cards were featured in a number of creative ways thanks largely to the help of the person who actually made the cards, Darshanie of Lovely Om. She drew the pictures for each tarot card over the course of ten years! Along with her partner Markus, we came up with a fan spread of the cards, some shots featuring a book on tarot and that particular card described on the page, plus my favorite, just spread out some tarot cards and I look for the best angle, kind of freestyle shooting! Thank you to the team at Lovely Om for choosing me as your product photographer!
