Professional Headshot Photographer in Albuquerque New Mexico with Lisa

I met Lisa at a BNI networking event some weeks ago where we first discussed making new headshots for her.  Like many people that I photograph, she was normally not thrilled to have her photo taken.  She even said she'd rather be at the dentist that morning than at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for her professional business headshot photo shoot!

Grants New Mexico Rural Land 4K Drone Video

Grants New Mexico Rural Land 4K Drone Video

My New Mexico rural land photography work took me to south of Grants, New Mexico, near the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, which I unfortunately did not have time to visit, just drive by, and did not see any wolves either!  This area is near El Morro National Monument also, which I only had time to stop at very briefly!  Well, I am sorry to mention all these cool places, but only show you rural New Mexico land!  And, due to circumstances, I had to fly in the early afternoon light, which is not ideal.  I used my darkest PolarPro ND16 filter to still try and achieve the ideal shutter speed to frame rate ratio of 2:1 for my Mavic Pro drone recording 4K video at 24fps.  I used my new Garuda LUTs from Looks and Luts to color grade the video in Final Cut Pro X to get the most out of the scenery.

Event Photography in Albuquerque New Mexico Amigos Breakfast May 2018

Event Photography in Albuquerque New Mexico Amigos Breakfast May 2018

This was just the third Amigos Breakfast networking event for the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, but it is already becoming a lot of people's favorite monthly event in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  As I wrote about last month's Amigos Breakfast, the format of getting to know someone 1-on-1 in a 20 minute conversation to start, then presenting for 60 seconds about their business and personal life is a fantastic format for making it not just a stop and pop, typical networking event.  You get to know one person well, and personal stories from every other person too.  Do not miss the next one!

New Mexico True Echo Amphitheater Fine Art Photos

New Mexico True Echo Amphitheater Fine Art Photos

Revisiting the photographs I made at Echo Amphitheater in Abiquiu, New Mexico I found some more that I wanted to edit and offer as fine art prints and commercial license usage for businesses that want to display a unique view of New Mexico natural wonder in their home or office for friends and clients to enjoy as well.  Standing in the base of the curved rock formation that produces the echoes the place is named for, I found the shape of the rock wall to be fascinating and photographed it from multiple angles.  If you have received a business card from me you have already seen my favorite angle of it (check it out here), but I like these for their partial views of the upper edge as well.

Rio Grande Celtic Festival Highland Games 2018 Albuquerque Event Photography

Rio Grande Celtic Festival Highland Games 2018 Albuquerque Event Photography

I took my new Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 G2 lens to the 30th Anniversary Rio Grande Celtic Festival and Highland Games at Balloon Fiesta Park to see what kind of olde worlde action I could photograph.  There was not a tremendous amount of organization, so I did not hear the name of any of these feats of strength you see pictured below.  I will describe them as I saw them.  The first are photos of a square of perhaps hay and stone being tossed up over a high bar like a pole vaulter, but with a pitchfork!  The next I would call throwing a very heavy lollipop as far as you can.  Then the other could be carrying a telephone pole until you find where you want to toss it!  Then there was dancing and music too!  No idea what the dances were called either!  I ate a great Welsh cake, though, with lemon curd on it!

Headshot Photo Session Albuquerque New Mexico with Sue

You might know Sue of Rapid Supply if you are active at all in the Albuquerque, New Mexico networking scene, and thus recognize her from her headshot photo shoot here at the JCP Home Studio.  She needed updated headshots and came with her dog, Sandia, for a late afternoon headshot session.  I know many people work regular business hours so having my own Home Studio here in Albuquerque allows me to accommodate any client schedule.

4K Drone Video New Mexico True Valencia County Desert Mountains

4K Drone Video New Mexico True Valencia County Desert Mountains

This 4K drone video made in New Mexico features a remote area of desert and mountain in Valencia County, about one hour south of Albuquerque.  I drove my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk down 7 miles of unmaintained dirt road to reach this location for a rural land client.  While waiting for the sun to go down to make the last of the photos I needed to, I flew my DJI Mavic Pro drone over the desert and toward the mountains.  The wind was strong, giving high wind warnings on the drone's remote control, so I dared not go higher nor closer to the mountains.
