I met Lisa at a BNI networking event some weeks ago where we first discussed making new headshots for her. Like many people that I photograph, she was normally not thrilled to have her photo taken. She even said she'd rather be at the dentist that morning than at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for her professional business headshot photo shoot!

Well, part of being a professional photographer beyond having the advanced technical knowledge to switch in minutes from shooting high key on a white background, to more dramatic on a black background, is to be able to make the person you are photographing feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. After all, if the lighting is perfect, but the person is not, then the former does not matter. I could not have been more pleased when Lisa admitted after our photo session that it was, in fact, not worse than going to the dentist! The results are in the photos and the big smiles you see above.
