You might know Sue of Rapid Supply if you are active at all in the Albuquerque, New Mexico networking scene, and thus recognize her from her headshot photo shoot here at the JCP Home Studio. She needed updated headshots and came with her dog, Sandia, for a late afternoon headshot session. I know many people work regular business hours so having my own Home Studio here in Albuquerque allows me to accommodate any client schedule.
I have been favoring the beauty dish style of lighting for headshot photos sessions lately, and since Sue was open to my creative ideas, I used it again for this photo shoot. I use a Godox AD600 on a C-stand with a 26" Cheetahstand octagonal softbox with the metal beauty dish reflector and just the outer diffuser positioned right in front and above the subject, and then a silver reflector at stomach level. The results are a nice, even lighting with no shadows on the neck or under the nose.
