Modern headshots for legal staff and lawyers in Albuquerque
Giddens and Gatton Law located here in Albuquerque, New Mexico are great clients that continue to choose me as their headshot photographer as they add new lawyers and legal staff. This time Jen visited the JCP Home Studio for a Covid-19 safe headshot session in the same modern business style I first made for everyone at the law firm 1.5 years ago. That is the service I offer to clients. Whether the first photos were made on location in their offices, and then 1.5 years later you need the same style headshot for your latest team member, I can replicate that headshot here in studio. Thank you Diane and everyone at G&G for continuing to choose me as your headshot photographer!
Leaving Albuquerque on a scenic drive for a day trip can take you to Abiquiu Lake. Driving offroad can get you to this less visited southern area of the lake. I was on a rural land real estate shoot for a client who also wanted some footage of the lake. Finding access from the south was a challenge due to a couple of locked gates, but I found a place to launch the drone from just in time to get this stunning golden hour and sunset cinematic 4K drone video. Check out the map link below to visit Abiquiu Lake yourself.
During an Amazon product photography shoot here in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the JCP Home Studio I got to photograph climbing ropes for the first time. Marshall from NE Heights Climbing brought them over an assisted with getting the rope placement just right in coiled form, detail, and full shot. Marshall wanted professional quality product photos he could use both on his own website and for listing his products on Amazon as well. It’s always great to work with a local ABQ business and especially one making cool products like these. Thanks Marshall for choosing me as your Amazon product photographer!
Drone photography for commercial real estate in Albuquerque
Working for new client Lee & Associates who are based out of Arizona, I went to southeast Albuquerque, to make drone aerial commercial real estate photos of the former Ratheon Building. For such a large commercial building, still photos from ground level really cannot show it in full, and especially cannot show it in context to the Sandia Mountains and its more immediate neighborhood like drone photos can. These will be high impact images to help Lee & Associates find a new tenant for this massive building. Thank you Ross for choosing me as your drone pilot!
Telephoto lens for mesa landscape photography in New Mexico
At the end of a rural land real estate shoot in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, near Abiquiu Lake, I noticed some mesas in the distance. I did not need to get photographs of them for the client, but one of my axioms is a real photographer always stops to get a photo if he/she sees an opportunity. So I got out my Sony a7 III with Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master lens attached to get these shots, as the mesas were quite far away and they would look tiny in a wide angle lens one might normally think to use for landscape photography. The sun was going down, and there were good clouds in the sky, a recipe for near ideal landscape photography conditions.
At the end of a rural land photography shoot in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, I turned from the west after getting the required sunset shots to see the moon rising over the Sandia Mountains. I would come to learn that in a few days this would be a very rare full (blue) moon on Halloween night. To get unique views one must go to unique places, and not many go miles off road in the desert northwest of Rio Rancho wit a camera.
Kathy visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico wanting an updated modern headshot. We used several different background colors, but as many clients increasingly do, she chose both of her headshots on the bold look of the black background. Giving headshot clients options is what I strive for as they may think they wanted one background color, and until you see yourself on other colors, you may be surprised how much you like something you never even considered. Of course, all photo shoots here at Jason Collin Photography are using Covid-19 safe practices which I detail in this video. Thank you Kathy for choosing me as your headshot photographer and to her husband John for recommending me to her!
