High impact actor portfolio headshots in Albuquerque
George visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a definite vision for the actor headshots he wanted. He had been growing out his beard, brought props, and was ready to go for his western cowboy themed actor headshot photo session. We settled on a gray background as the most complimentary for the photos, I put on the camera my brand new Sony 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens, and then George did the rest. Through several wardrobe changes, a couple of lighting changes, and even getting a saddle into the action, we had a very creative headshot session and George now has the photos he needs to land western and cowboy roles. Driving up to Taos, New Mexico for a commercial portrait shoot on my second assignment (see the first) for an industry magazine, I had no idea that I would be photographing someone among his hundreds of accosting 12-string guitars. That is exactly the background I found myself in at the Larry Bell Studio photographing the famous Taos artist, Larry Bell. We went around to various places in his studio, including the 1950s sci-fi looking high vacuum device he has for creating his glassworks. He chose a special guitar from his collection for one of his commercial portraits. He bough the guitar decades ago for just a few dollars. He has subsequently spent thousands restoring it! Impressive modern headshots for med school in Albuquerque
Looking to impress on his med school application, Hesham visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico in a sharp blue suit with a perfectly tied tie. My goal is to make the best modern headshots for clients in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I achieve this be using a creative lighting setup for headshots, adding new background color options, and listening the the client and helping them look their best. Victoria visited the JCP Home Studio with her corgi, Mama, for a commercial photo shoot to make images to hopefully put Mama onto a dog treat package. I photographed her dog on a clean white background to make it easy to eventually “cut out” Mama and emblazon her perked up ears onto whatever kind of treat bag she may end up on. This was a fun and challenging shoot and I believe the first time in 12 years as a pro photographer I was actually paid to photograph a dog alone (not with her/his owner). I coincidentally today just photographed the second dog ever for a commercial shoot! None in 12 years and then two in a little over a month.
Bringing the Sandia Mountain views in with real estate photography
Most luxury real estate properties I photograph in Albuquerque, New Mexico are either furnished or staged, but I had the unique opportunity to photograph an unfurnished, just finished, home for the builder themselves. Approaching the house I had no idea the inside would look like it did with its super high ceilings and commanding view of the Sandia Mountains. It is very much a modern house at the foot of the mountains where the views come right in through the windows, which is what I wanted to highlight in the interior photos I made of the main living space.
