Great headshots on white and gray backgrounds at Shaw Skin Clinic in Albuquerque
Part two of the commercial photography photo shoot I did for Shaw Skin Clinic (formerly Skinnovate) in Albuquerque, New Mexico were headshots for the entire team on both white and gray backgrounds. With team headshots that are consistent and uniform, a business really shows that the people that work for it are all part of the team. So now on their website, to go along with the commercial portraits I made of them in action, the about us page features their new modern headshots. Here at Jason Collin Photography it is very satisfying to make a series of professional headshots and commercial portraits for a business that help them highlight their entire team along with the business space itself. This total package is a magnetic way to attract new clients to your business. Thank you Jacquelyn for choosing me as your photographer and thanks to the entire team for being so great in front of the camera on a big day of shooting!
The first event I photographed since the pandemic began
With the goal of bringing more affordable housing to the greater Albuquerque area, Multigreen held a ground breaking ceremony on the west side of ABQ that will develop 40,000 units by 2030 according to the banner used as a background for the group photos. This was the first formal event I photographed since the pandemic started over a year ago. Photographing events like this and also national and international conferences used to be 15%+ of my annual business and some of the photography I enjoyed the most. I look forward to their return, hopefully in the not too distant future.
Consistent Professional Product Photography in Albuquerque
Even though Tavis of Morrison Outdoors has moved from New Mexico to Washington, I am very flattered he continues to choose me as his product photographer for his innovative kids sleeping bags. He shipped the latest sleeping bag to me and I made the same series of photos of the product like I had done for him in three past shoots. Providing consistent results over several years is something I am proud to offer clients here at Jason Collin Photography. This time Tavis wanted a few extra shots of the sleeping bag “dancing” that he could use for a fun gif. So the four photos above if you swipe through them quickly give the illusion of the orange sleeping bag doing a little dance! Thank you to Jessica for assisting on this shoot, and a big thanks to Tavis for continuing to choose me as his product photographer, even halfway across the country!
Commercial Portraits in a beautiful downtown Albuquerque building
The interior of a beautiful building in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico made for a fantastic setting for a commercial portrait shoot with Maria. She is going to be featured in an industry magazine article so I visited her one morning to make the photos for that piece. Many of the times I shoot on location, I do not know what to expect for a shooting environment, and such was the case this time. Fortunately, the open office space of what used to be the lobby of this building had several different background options. Maria had a good sense of the space also and helped with choosing the right chair for the cover photo you see above. The challenge of shooting on location, usually unknown location, is one I actually enjoy a lot as it usually results in even more creative shots. Thank you Maria for being so great in front of the camera that morning.
One of my favorite areas to visit in New Mexico is a very small town in San Juan County called Navajo Dam, which is home to the second largest lake in the state, Navajo Lake. I have been here many times, but this was the first time to find myself on a road on the southern shore of the lake allowing me to make photos with a much different view of the lake and dam and in the distance, the San Juan River also. This was the first time I found myself driving across the top of the dam which is very high up and steep, and with no guard rails! There are stunning views on both sides of the dam, but as the driver you definitely have to stay focused!
Electric Car Photography for Bonhams in Santa Fe New Mexico
If I could do nothing but car photography I would! So whenever I get the chance to photograph a car, especially for Bonhams, I am always grateful and excited for the chance. This time for Bonhams I went up to Santa Fe to photograph a Tesla Model S P100D. The seller had a spectacular mountain background view right on his property for photographing the car on. If you like this car, get your bid in now!
Professional restaurant interior photography featuring furniture
Sometimes who you might think is my client here at Jason Collin Photography, is not actually the client. Here you see commercial interior photos of the new restaurant M’Tucci’s Twenty-Five in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So naturally you would think the restaurant hired me to make photos to help promote their opening. However, the client was the company that makes the furniture used in the restaurant. Puzzled restaurant employees were wondering why I was focused on the tables and chairs and did not care about getting any logos or branding in the shots! I like being given creative freedom to go to a location and photograph a client’s product “in the wild” as best as I can given only a semi-controlled environment as some customers were coming into the restaurant and I had to work fast at times and shoot from selective angles.
