The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce organizes great ribbon cutting events. Their latest was for the new restaurant Seasons 52 in the Coronado Center. I love doing event photography for them here in Albuquerque, New Mexico because the energy at these events is always contagious and I love to make candids, and Business & Membership Development Director Luis Hernandez always provides great candid photo opportunities! Ever since I first drove into Albuquerque, New Mexico in January 2017 and saw the Sandia Mountains, I knew I had to summit them at one point. Over 14 months later I finally had the opportunity to hike to the summit, my first summit since having ACL knee surgery 3 years ago. Hiking to the almost 3000 meter summit was a physical and mental test, not just for me, but also for Jessica who came with me and our dogs Kiki and Artie.
I only got to spend a very brief time in Malibu, California. Fortunately, it was spent at the stunning Leo Carrillo State Park, which I just happened to pick out on a map to visit! You have seen my bird's eye view drone photos of this park, now you can see the view from my DJI Mavic Pro drone!
Amity. A Hair Place was the location for this commercial portrait photographyshoot in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Felicia is the owner and someone I met quite by accident when, on foot, I was looking for a new place to get my haircut after moving to New Mexico from Florida! During subsequent haircuts I discussed with Felicia about having commercial photos made to use on social media, and the salon's website. She said she did not have a website! Well, photos first as they provide the content needed to show potential clients inside the salon!
I was offered a generous invitation by Deanna and Eric of The Southwest Life Realty Group to have a table at their Inner Circle event at the Albuquerque Country Club to promote my photography business and to meet their other business friends. I did not stay behind the table all evening as I had a very good time doing one of my favorite things in photography, making event photography candids! Deanna and Eric are great people so it was no surprise the people they do business with share their friendly philosophy.
