Mavic 3 Cine drone debut for the City of Albuquerque Baseball Park
My very first client for my new DJI Mavic 3 Cine drone was the City of Albuquerque itself making a promotional video of a baseball park on the westside of the city that offers great views of the Sandia Mountains. I was of course at the baseball park on an off-day with no games to being able to fly freely over, around, and through the park. From this ver first flight, the dramatically increased flight time of the Mavic 3 Cine over the Mavic 2 Pro was noticeable as I felt none of the stress of having to get in all the shots I wanted to before landing and changing batteries. The result of this, I can focus more on being creative for the client, uninterrupted by battery changes when flying the drone. Thank you Damian and the City of ABQ for a great opportunity to showcase the picturesque desert baseball fields.
Business with networking friends for team headshots in Albuquerque
In my 5 years living in Albuquerque, I have made a lot of networking friends and many of them have chosen me as their headshot photographer. I am especially thankful to networking friend Vivian, whom I first made a headshot for several years ago when we were on an ambassador committee together, because not only did she choose me as her headshot photographer, but also for 24 of her HUB International colleagues! Thank you for recommending me Vivian! It was great to be the team headshot photographer for HUB International and to get to see you again.
Creative variety in model portfolio photography in Albuquerque
One of my goals as a commercial photographer is to offer clients who visit the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, great variety in the photos we make during the shoot, even in just a one hour shoot. Such was the case when Jolie visited for a model portfolio shoot, including some headshots too. She had a number of outfit changes ready, and with shooting head to toe, three-quarter, and the aforementioned headshots, I was able to make for her in just one hour 25 photos she chose from her proofing gallery! I was really pleased with the creativity and variety in photos I was able to make for Jolie and very glad she chose 25 of them to add to her modeling portfolio. Thank you Jolie for choosing me as your photographer!
Hats and t-shirts photographed for client website in ABQ
Aaron of Chasin Quail visited the JCP Home Studio for a professional product photography shoot right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He brought a variety of t-shirts and ball caps to get photographed for his online store. We worked together to get the hat photo perspective just how he wanted, and likewise for the top down shots of the t-shirts. I like these team effort photo shoots where the owners of the products have input since they are their products after all! Thank you Aaron for choosing me as your product photographer.
Change jobs get a new headshot in Albuquerque New Mexico
I first made a headshot for Brett back in 2019 when he was working for a different engineering company. He has since changed jobs and needed a new headshot, and I really appreciate him choosing me once again as his headshot photographer. Furthermore, he brought his wife, Rebecca, this time to get headshots too! We had more formal jacket on headshots and then more business casual style headshots on the shot list for each person. Then as a thank you to Brett and Rebecca, I suggested they get in front of the camera together for a bonus portrait. I really appreciate returning clients who continue to choose me as their photographer. Thank you Brett and Rebecca!
Whenever I am out of town, or in this case out of state, on extended rural land real estate shoots, despite being very busy, I always try and visit some local point of interest. So while in Show Low, Arizona for three days, I fortunately had time one morning to take a stroll around Fool Hollow Lake. The fool part of the name comes from a settler in the 1880s thinking he could farm the rocky ground surrounding the lake area. As it is today, it’s a peaceful place to walk among pine trees with changing views of the lake as you circumnavigate it.
A return to photographing events in Albuquerque for SWE
The uncanny symmetry in timing of photography shoots continues, as nearly exactly two years to the day, and at the very same hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Albuquerque, I photographed my first indoor event since the pandemic started! It was a big return too, shooting 10 hours on a Friday and Saturday for SWE (Society of Women Engineers) having one of their WE Local events right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was great to be back photographing a multi-day conference and feeling the energy and excitement of such an event. Plus, I learned a lot too as I photographed the dozens of breakout sessions and the four keynote speakers. I really appreciate Rochelle, a local member, recommending me for this job as she was a former headshot client.
