Adapting to make team headshots just like the client wanted in ABQ
Coordinating with Makayla of First American Title to make team headshots at her office in Albuquerque, New Mexico went smoothly as more and more ABQ businesses are choosing to get team headshots and I am learning more on what to prep the client on regarding the on location headshot shoot that can take several hours. However, variables still come up, like on the day of the shoot changing from a standard headshot to a waist up headshot, with the little problem of there nearly not being enough physical space in the room we were shooting in to make such a shot. As a professional photographer adaptability to the unexpected is a key skill to have. There was a table up against a wall behind me that just could not be moved, so everyone one of these headshots you see here was made with me sitting on the table all the way against the far back wall to be able to fit in the person from the waist up! Sometimes in photography, every last inch of space counts. Thank you Makayla for organizing this shoot and helping it to go smoothly, even with me sitting on a table!
Nohelia visited the JCP Home Studio coming all the way from Santa Fe for her actor headshot photo session! For one photo she donned her leather jacket with a serious expression in the hopes of getting a certain type of part. Throughout the session we changed background colors and expressions so that even in just a relatively short headshot session, she had a good variety of headshots to use and catch the attention of casting directors around New Mexico. Thank ou Nohelia for choosing me as your actor headshot photographer and for the 5-star Google Review!
KOB 4 local news here in Albuquerque is actually the station I watch so when someone named Ivan Cabrera texted me about headshots, I had to ask, are you the meteorologist? He was indeed! If you can believe it, Ivan was not the first local news meteorologist I photographed in downtown Albuquerque, that was Conner Lewis of KRQE back in 2020. Even though I was shooting in a similar place, Ivan’s headshots are totally unique. Using an intersection as the out of focus background, and even the Albuquerque Convention Center itself, I was able to create a variety of different headshots for Ivan all within about a 20 square foot area! Thank you Ivan for choosing me as your headshot photographer and see you at 6pm weekdays on KOB 4!
A day with the team at Pebble Labs in Los Alamos New Mexico
Being a commercial photographer willing to travel to anywhere in New Mexico, I get opportunities like this to visit a special place like Pebble Labs, and spend a day with the entire team making headshots of everyone, photographing them in action in their lab, and then gathering everybody together for a huge team group photo in their unique greenhouse. Now every employee of Pebble Labs has a modern, professional headshot that looks consistent with everyone else at the lab, and there is no stock photography used on their website. What you see are the actual employees in their actual lab doing the innovate work they do. Thank you to everyone at Pebble for a great day of photography and for choosing me as your photographer.
Updated commercial portraits and headshots in Albuquerque
Jacquelyn of Shaw Skin Clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico contacted me about getting updated headshots for her team as well as new commercial portraits featuring a new team member. I always highly recommend to business owners to have professional commercial portraits and actions shots made of your actual team doing the actual service your business does rather than using stock photography. The difference in impact is not even comparable. Take these commercial portraits I made for Jacquelyn for example. Instead of meaningless stock images, you are seeing the actual skincare professional in the actual setting you will be getting the treatment in. I believe this really helps a client/customer/patient choose your business because they will already get to see who they will be working with, and what environment they will be in. Plus, I have also long been saying every member of your team should have the same professional headshot as everyone else, so that clients/customers/patients know that each member of the team is valued the same as even the owner of the business. Thank you Jacquelyn for continuing to choose me as your photographer and for another fun and creative shoot!
Business with networking friends for team headshots in Albuquerque
In my 5 years living in Albuquerque, I have made a lot of networking friends and many of them have chosen me as their headshot photographer. I am especially thankful to networking friend Vivian, whom I first made a headshot for several years ago when we were on an ambassador committee together, because not only did she choose me as her headshot photographer, but also for 24 of her HUB International colleagues! Thank you for recommending me Vivian! It was great to be the team headshot photographer for HUB International and to get to see you again.
Creative variety in model portfolio photography in Albuquerque
One of my goals as a commercial photographer is to offer clients who visit the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, great variety in the photos we make during the shoot, even in just a one hour shoot. Such was the case when Jolie visited for a model portfolio shoot, including some headshots too. She had a number of outfit changes ready, and with shooting head to toe, three-quarter, and the aforementioned headshots, I was able to make for her in just one hour 25 photos she chose from her proofing gallery! I was really pleased with the creativity and variety in photos I was able to make for Jolie and very glad she chose 25 of them to add to her modeling portfolio. Thank you Jolie for choosing me as your photographer!
