Marketing Video for Pacific Grove Golf Links with the PG Chamber
The next video in my series of making social media marketing videos for the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce features the Pacific Grove Golf Links. This golf course has views of Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean and does have wildlife encounters possible right on course, which we experienced with a deer acting like a min-golf course obstacle on one of the early holes! Recording video on the course, even from a moving golf cart, was a lot of fun and the sun was out making it a beautiful day on the links. Thank you to Jazmyn and CC for their great acting and playing, and for the PG Chamber for choosing me as their videographer for this series of branding and marketing videos showcasing the many great things about Pacific Grove!
Promoting Pacific Grove with the PG Chamber featuring il vecchio restaurant
The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce president contacted me about a video project they wanted to do, asap, and fortunately, my schedule could fit in a two day video shoot at no less than 9 locations! Good thing Pacific Grove is also small and compact, so highlighting restaurants, experiences, and just the beauty of the area at some many different places was possible, and it also helped that Jazmyn and CC were pros in front of the camera letting me work creatively and efficiently everywhere we went.

I got a new road bike and discovered there are many unique views in Albuquerque that you can only see from a bike. Wanting to share these views in photos on Jason Collin Photography, I sought out a camera bag to carry just one camera and one lens. Already being a Peak Design customer, I settled on their new bag, the Everyday Sling V2 3L I wanted to be able to carry my Sony a7R IV and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master lens in the bag, as this is my most versatile lens and camera combo. I contacted Peak Design to ask them if they knew if this combo would fit, they said yes, but it would be tight.
Exactly how tight is it to get a Sony a7R IV with a Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master lens into the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L? Check out the video to find out!
A large white seamless background is part of many photo studios, including here at the JCP Home Studio. For a professional photographer, this is a great tool to have. However, I think anyone could benefit from having a large, white seamless paper background in their home! Check out the video tip for why.
In this week’s photography tip video I discuss the thinking process I went through over 10 years ago in buying a tripod. The big takeaway: buy one good enough so that you’ll only ever have to buy one once in your career/life!
In this video featured on Jason Collin Photography I talk about the proper way to hold a camera, how the pros do it! Next time you see a press conference scene in a TV show or in a movie, look how the “photographers” are holding their cameras. I show you how to at least look more like a pro by holding your camera in a stable way that will help you get better sharpness in your photos.
