Out Late on a Friday Getting Client Video Content in Seaside

I don’t know if I ever started a shoot at 9pm before, let alone 9pm on a Friday, but that’s just what I did taking my camera and gimbal to Deja Blue in Seaside, California to make a branding and marketing video at a time when the jazz club is actually full of people and there is live jazz playing. It was very lively in there so it woke me up, haha when normally I’d be winding down. This video contains mostly un-staged clips. All the band shots were them performing live and me capturing live. Even most of the scenes with the Deja Blue staff and behind the bar were captured live, but also with a few staged pouring and action clips. Through this process I was able to make a marketing video showing a real Friday night in the club! Thank you to the staff of Deja Blue for being good actors when needed, and to the band for making the place come alive!
