I was actually out on a commercial portrait shoot near Petroglyph National Monument in west Albuquerque when driving home I saw the Super Blue Blood Moon rising over the Sandia Mountains. At a good vantage point I pulled over, popped the trunk, and took out my Nikon D7200 which already had a 80-200mm lens on it to get some shots!
Back in my car I notice this cloud looking either like a UFO flying by the moon or as if the cloud was the tail of a comet making the moon look like it was soaring through the atmosphere!
Even though I was tired and had already done two complete commercial portrait shoots that day, a real photographer never passes up the opportunity to get a great shot. Never.
