I have experienced since 2009 something I did not know about being a photographer, that I would get into very cool events I would not normally attend as a civilian. This is certainly true when being hired by clients for exclusive events, but equally true for attending networking events, ribbon cuttings and grand openings like this one in Albuquerque, New Mexico for FUSE Makerspace which was attended by the mayor even!
FUSE Makerspace is open to anyone who wants to rent the use of it on an individual basis. If you want to make some art like on the table above, you can!
Need to fabricate some metal? Well, check out the complex designs you can make using that metal fab. Just do not tell Ford or Warner Brothers about it!
This was my first time to see soon outgoing Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry speak. He seemed to really care about this project and the opportunity for young and economically challenged entrepreneurs and makers (as they were called by the speakers) to have a state-of-the-art work space. Anything from using robotics to making jewelry, there was a space for it!
