Santa Fe Ceramic Art Photography
Santa Fe ceramic artist Noah Starer usually brings his art to my Home Studio to be photographed, but this time I took the photo studio to his art studio up in Santa Fe. Why? Because he has created a new serious of modular ceramic art that just has way too many individual pieces to move all the way to Albuquerque and also he would have to stay on site to setup each group, whereas normally they are just single pieces that I can place and photograph myself.
Behind the Scenes of the Shoot
We had to shoot in his actual work space, which is good for ceramics, but rather small for photography. Good thing I am very experienced working in tight spaces! I used a simple one light setup that fit just in the space beside the table everything was photographed on.

It was a fun change of space to be actively photographing Noah’s work alongside him. We never even bumped into each other once! I really believe this is an outstanding series he has created.
