Featured on the TV show Diners Drive-ins and Dives, Golden Crown Panaderia to my surprise was a bakery, and one that featured not just pastries, but also pizzas and sandwiches! A food photography shoot took me across Albuquerque to discover this famous bakery.

We started out with the personal trainer style, and my favorite was the one above converted to black and white. This style of rectangular headshot allows for copy to be put next to the subject, such as what his personal training programs offer, his contact info, etc.

I was expecting a cafe, but it was a kind of warehouse looking building with double industrial doors as the only possible entrance. Next door was a doggy daycare. Luckily the doors opened as I approached and I was welcomed by the owner, Cynthia. All good!

This was very helpful from just knowing how to handle the very complex saxophone as a musical instrument itself and how to rest the sax on its stand (the ring is not obvious to put through the stand opening).

Read MoreSaturday evening was the annual Twinkle Light Parade in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque. Since this is still my first year in ABQ, it was therefore my first time to check out the parade. It provided lot of great photography opportunities, while being a challenging low light shooting situation.
