Jason Collin Returns to Monterey On Tonight
A second local TV appearance talking team headshots, drone video, construction photography, and life as a Pacific Grove photographer
It is not every week that I get to sit down in a local TV studio and talk photography, but apparently Monterey On Tonight has not had enough of me yet. After my first appearance earlier this year, I was invited back for a second interview with host Gary Morris, this time with a little more focus on team headshots, business photography, drone video, and the growing construction photography side of my work here on the Monterey Peninsula.
The full interview is embedded below. Like my first visit to the show, the conversation was relaxed, local, and a little unpredictable in the best possible way.
Back on Monterey On Tonight for Interview Two
I was very glad to be asked back for a second appearance on Monterey On Tonight hosted by Gary Morris! My first appearance earlier this year turned into a conversation about photography, community, and especially drone video after they played my surprise engagement drone video on air. Now knowing the freewheeling interview style that Gary has, I had a few things prepared to talk about, but like before, things just went in a natural direction talking about my drone work and then how I got started in the photography business itself. It’s a rather unusual story about how I became a professional photographer, so be sure and listen to the interview about all the way through for the full story!
Being on the air with Gary really feels like sitting down for a conversation with someone who is curious about the people and businesses that make up the Monterey Peninsula. As a Pacific Grove-based photographer, I always appreciate opportunities to talk about the work I do and the clients I serve.
Professional Photography for Local Businesses and Teams
Team headshots, branding photos, construction project images, and drone video all serve a practical purpose: they help potential clients understand who you are, what you do, and why your work is worth taking seriously.
For businesses across Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Seaside, Salinas, and the Monterey Peninsula, professional photography can support websites, social media, proposals, hiring, marketing campaigns, and long-term brand building.
Scenes from My Second Monterey On Tonight Interview
A few moments from the conversation with Gary Morris
These screenshots are from my second appearance on Monterey On Tonight, where Gary Morris and I talked about photography, local business, drone video, and the kinds of visual content that help companies tell their story. The conversation moved naturally, which is one of the things I enjoy about being on the show. It is local, informal, and focused on people in the community rather than a rigid interview format.
Even though I am much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, appearances like this are a good reminder that showing up matters. Whether it is a TV interview, a construction project, or a drone video, visual presence helps people connect with the person or business behind the work.
Drone Video and Construction Photography on the Monterey Peninsula
The interview gave me a chance to talk about drone video and construction photography, two services that are becoming a larger part of my work. Drone footage can show scale, location, progress, and context in a way ground-level photography cannot. For builders, contractors, remodelers, property owners, and local businesses, that combination of ground photography and aerial coverage can create a useful visual record of a project before, during, and after completion.
From an in-progress Pebble Beach luxury home build to completed interiors, jobsite details, and aerial project views, construction photography gives companies a way to document their work and use those images for websites, proposals, social media, client updates, and long-term marketing.
From drone video to construction photography, this second Monterey On Tonight appearance was another chance to share how professional photography helps local businesses across the Monterey Peninsula tell stronger visual stories.
