Colorful Professional Headshots for Professionals in Albuquerque with Thao

Headshots in vibrant colors now available in Albuquerque

Here at Jason Collin Photography I am always looking to improve the headshots I make for clients with both technique and photography gear. The latest addition to headshot sessions is color! Thao visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for headshots and told me that the logo color for her company was purple. Using the new gels I got, I put on a purple one and, voila, a white background becomes purple! I am super excited to be able to start offering clients background colors to match their logos, brands, and personality. Of course white, black, and gray are still available too! Thank you Thao for being a great first colorful background headshot client!

Purple Hyacinth Flower Macro Photograph from Publix

My purple hyacinth growing right in water in my living room!

I am a regular Publix (Florida grocery store franchise) Friday shopper, and have been all my adult life in Florida.  On a recent shopping trip I was thinking to finally get a new plant to replace the one that had long since died (of natural causes!) in my living room.  I was very quickly talked into getting the above purple hyacinth by the lady behind the counter.  Growing a plant right in a vase of water appealed to me, and she promised when in bloom the scent would fill the room.  She was right, it now smells great anytime I pass by the bloom!

Having flowers right inside your house also makes for a very convenient photography subject too.  So my photography tip is if you live somewhere that is really cold, so cold it deters you from going outside with your DSLR in winter, then go out and buy some flowers and shoot from the comfort of your living room!

New Salvador Dali Museum at Twilight with Moon

Moonrise of a purple twilight at the new Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL -- this image available as fine art print & commercial license -- f/8 ISO 200 7-bracket HDR tripod mounted with cable releaseThe new Salvador Dali Museum is situated in an ideal direction for night time photography as its most notable feature, the glass wave, faces due east.  This allows for the setting Florida sun to backlight the museum, which this time resulted in a reddish-purple sky.  The extended hours on Thursday evenings allow for the lights to come on inside the museum resulting in the image seen above.  In addition, the moon was rising and waxing just enough to be visible in the early twilight.
