Using a beauty dish style lighting to make this headshot in the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque New Mexico
Cody came to the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque New Mexico because he wanted a professional headshot for his newly created LinkedIn profile. Many clients this year have come to me for a headshot just for LinkedIn specifically. I think it is very important to represent your own personal brand on all social media with photos that show you looking your best.
To make this shot I used my great new Cheetahstand 26" SoupBowl octosoftbox in beauty dish mode. That means no white diffusers, just a small medal disc blocking the light of my awesome new Godox AD600 monolight. Then I place a silver reflector right under the person's upper body. You can see the exact setup below in the BTS shot. The two strip boxes are for making the background pop a bit more with a slight gradient.
